I am the owner and CEO of TOBE PRODUCTS, a global manufacturer and distributor of jewelry components since 1911.   It was my grandfather, Otto Feix, who founded the company together with his brother in Gablonz, a town in the center of Bohemia, still part of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire in 1911. My father Otto Feix II, continued to operate in Bohemia, the land in which most of the glass making industry of the world originated (including the famous Swarovski company). After Word War II, the Gablonz Industry found a new home in abandoned ammunition bunkers close to the medieval town of Kaufbeuren, Germany, in the lovely mountainous district Allgäu in the state of Bavaria.   After completing my university studies I joined my father's business in 1967, and in 1974 renamed the company TOBE PRODUCTS. Tobe Products is the holding company for our international network subsidiaries, manufacturing and distributing jewelry component parts in glass and lucite/acrylic (beads and stones), metal (findings, charm stampings, chains), pearls (glass and urea based) and stones/beads made in semi precious materials. TOBE PRODUCTS opened its USA office and warehouse facility in Johnston , R.I. in 1978, in the heart of the costume jewelry making center of the United States. Our Hong Kong buying and development office followed in 1979. Since then we have added joint venture offices and manufacturing facilities of chains and pearls in Seoul, Korea and Yiwu, China.   We thank you for your interest in our offerings.   Jürgen Feix
